Bryton James is one of the most loved actors on The Young and The Restless and an immensely talented one too.

Over the years, he has been at the center of many interesting and diverse storylines- extending from personal struggles for his character Devon to his professional woes.

Currently, on Y&R, we are watching Devon embroiled in a professional tussle at Chancellor-Winters, oh no wait,

we mean Abbott-Winters. And his serious, balanced, and professional portrayal of Devon the gazillionaire totally believable. e have been just so invested in the internal war of the company.

However, it wasn’t the same feeling for Bryton. In a recent chat with Soaps She Knows, The Young and The Restless actor divulged what he really feels while mouthing these dialogues during his business battles. Bryton laughed that he often stops between filming and says, “You know, I have a gazillion dollars. In real life, none of these problems would matter to me.”

“Go run the company however you want!” he added. And we agree with him.

If at the end of the day, we get to come home with an overflowing bank account, why would we care who is running the company and how? On a more serious note, Bryton James does have some suggestions for what he’d like to do when he’s not fighting for the company.

“I’d love to play something where Devon does something truly evil, something that’s very out of character for him.” Perhaps, he’d like to take some tips from Victor Newman! After all, no one does it better than The Mustache himself. With his guidance, Devon could truly metamorphose into the wickedest thing ever!

So much so, that the rest of GC would think he is his own evil twin. Oh but, the Y&R actor asserts that a twin storyline is way overdone in the soapverse, and he would not like to add on to that with one of his own! However, in complete honesty, it could be quite fun to watch Devon go a bit rogue.
