90 Day: The Last Resort’s a fascinating 90DF spinoff that features
couples with serious problems, and some of the inaugural season’s episodes
are more watchable than others.
So far, there’s been epic drama on the show – cheating’s been revealed, divorce papers have been brandished, and tears have fallen. Angry words have been spoken. Of course, there have also been some heartwarming moments. Since this show features some of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise’s biggest stars, including Molly Hopkins and Big Ed Brown, it’s quite a thrill ride. Viewers get a chance to see what their favorites are dealing with in their tumultuous love lives.
90 Day: The Last Resort premiered on Monday, August 14, 2023. Before its premiere, there was so much anticipation. When news of the rumored cast leaked, it got plenty of buzz. Some major 90DF celebs were in the mix, including Angela Deem. Once the cast was confirmed, including the aforementioned Georgia peach Angela, it was a pretty safe bet that there would be emotional fireworks (and some funny moments too).
3. 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 1, Episode 3 (“One Last Time”) Is Pretty Good
During this episode, which is fairly good but not the best, Angela talked to a therapist about her anger issues. She got help after Liz rubbed her the wrong way by saying, “I love you Angie, but you speak over everybody.” Dr. Janie tried to help the famous “Meemaw,” but Angela’s explosive temper’s notoriously hard to tame.
During the same episode, Big Ed and Liz hit turbulence, with Liz showcasing remarkable self-control. While dealing with Angela and her now-husband (they just married IRL), Liz tried to be patient, which couldn’t have been easy. Big Ed blamed Liz for Angela unloading on her, which was completely unfair. While Angela, Big Ed and Liz were the focal points of episode 3, other cast members worked on their issues with their partners and got mixed results.
2. 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 1, Episode 1 (“The Last Chance) Is Really Enjoyable
The premiere was exciting, with a cluster of well-known couples arriving to soak up the sun’s rays and work on their troubled relationships. Some serious problems loomed large, and Angela was frustrated enough to consider divorcing Michael Ilesanmi. Meanwhile, Molly and Kelly were committed to overcoming big-time problems. They’ve had so much drama, including Kelly’s issues with Molly’s daughter, Olivia Hopkins, who accused him of attacking her. Big Ed and Liz were weary of the on-again off-again thing, and wanted to improve their romance. Yara Zaya had issues with Jovi that ran so deep.
1. 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 1 Episode 2’s (“Dead Last”) Is The Best
This shocking episode was loaded with the kind of drama that 90DF viewers crave. It featured Yara revealing a secret that changed everything. She confessed that she’d been using birth control, even though her husband Jovi Dufren was pushing for a second baby with her. Perhaps Yara had doubts about her future with Jovi. She’d already told him she wasn’t ready.
Jovi’s so into strippers that trust between the duo is almost impossible. Is Yara telling lies because some part of her wants out of the marriage? This episode revealed so much about the high-profile pair. Jovi didn’t look happy when his wife told the truth. How much more strain can be placed on an already shaky marriage?
90 Day: The Last Resort episode 4 will be released on September 4, 2023. It could be the best episode of all, but only time will tell. Since the series features famous cast members, a gorgeous tropical locale and plenty of tense and theatrical moments, it’s well worth watching. The show’s stars are getting real about life and relationships.
