Victor advises him to stand firm in his choices.
It’ll pay off in the end.
Devon needed to hear that. Talk turns to Abby.
Devon admits he proposed to her.
She said yes but he did it without getting Victor’s blessing. “I’ll be damned,” Victor says with a smile.
CBS
This is the fourth time around for her. Devon assures it’ll be the last time.
Victor approves. He’s impressed at what a man Devon has become. Neil would be proud of him.
The men embrace and Victor welcomes him to the family.
Devon talks about Ashley not being there at the moment and how hard it is on Abby.
Victor calls Ashley strong like Abby. She’s also his daughter, meaning, “Good luck to you,” he says with a laugh. Since Devon is off to celebrate with Abby, Victor invites himself along.
CBS
Abby videochats with her mom who is still in the clinic in Paris. Ashley’s had some progress and is feeling good.
Abby can’t believe her mom could be someone else.
Ashley knows it’s hard to understand and harder to accept.
CBS
Abby wants to visit her again but though Ashley visits her, she’s at a critical point in her treatment and needs to focus if she ever wants to get out of there.
Abby’s fine with that and was hoping to tell her in person.
She and Devon are getting married.
Ashley’s thrilled for her daughter while Abby’s having second thoughts.
CBS
Ashley questions her and Abby says they’re closer than ever but this is about her, not Devon.
She’s had too many failed relationships and marriages and wonders if she should be listening to that little voice that is trying to warn her that if they marry, it could ruin everything they have. Ashley gives her a pep talk.
Abby trusts Devon and he makes her happy and strong and more grounded than ever.
Ashley’s never heard her talk this way before and thinks this is her answer.
She’d hug her if she were there. Abby understands and finds her advice to be perfect.
CBS

She and Alan greet with a hug and he notices her bag.
She’s leaving but is excited because a Hollywood producer optioned one of her books.
CBS
They want to make a movie of it and for her to fly to LA and discuss the deal.
Alan finds it incredible.
Traci’s going straight to the airport from here. Alan’s happy for her and disappointed for him.
CBS
She’s sorry to leave so suddenly and asks what this means for them.
Traci says this time with him has been magical.
She needs to see her sister and hopes she’ll be taking her home soon.
He’s at the top of her list next to his sister.
Traci has fallen in love with Paris. So much has happened there.
CBS
He’s grateful that she helped him deal with his feelings of guilt over Martin and get closure.
Traci’s glad of that. She thinks she’ll be gone a week and will stop in Genoa City to see Jack since he’s having some issues of his own.
Alan has had speaking engagements lined up that he cancelled.
He wanted to spend time with her.
Traci’s incredulous but Alan says it’s fine.
CBS
He’s already had more offers. It’s fine.
She asks if he’s ever been to Los Angeles.
She wants him to come.
He says he’ll come and she happily tells him she’ll introduce him to all of the places she loves.

She hears Claire asking when they leave and how long they’ll stay.
Summer says they should take as much time as they want but Harrison won’t be joining them.
CBS
Kyle cockily asks what she’s on about and reminds her the judge denied her petition.
Claire stands around looking awkward while Summer says Elaine, her lawyer, notified her that another judge granted her temporary urgent custody on the grounds that he shouldn’t be allowed to take her son out of the country when they’re in the midst of a custody battle.
She’s fighting for more custodial time and the timing is suspect.
Kyle’s not stealing his own son. Summer says it speaks for themselves.
CBS
Harrison can’t travel until a final decision has been made.
She hands him the papers and he calls her vindictive.
Claire finally gets the hint and goes up to play with Harrison to let them chat.
Summer wants to protect Harrison.
Kyle yells, “From what? Me?” He also wonders if she’s that insecure that she can’t stand Harrison to have affection for any other woman. Summer calls it being logical.
CBS
He is sending their son there with a woman who likely has never been out of the country, who will be caring for their child in a city where she doesn’t speak the language.
Summer can tell she’s on the right track when Kyle sighs.
They call each other unreasonable but Summer doesn’t trust either Claire or Audra.
CBS
Kyle calls her out for demanding sole custody of a child that is not biologically hers and trying to ruin their trip.
Kyle says they will barely be gone a week.
She worries he’ll stay there permanently.
Summer credits his time with Audra for being the beginning of his erratic behavior but he denies he’s being erratic at all.
Kyle asks if she bribed the judge but she didn’t.
She has facts on her side.
CBS
He calls Jason, his lawyer, and says she won’t get away with this.

Summer says no offense but she doesn’t need parenting advice from her.
Claire shows her a picture her kid drew.
It’s of the three of them under the Eiffel Tower and the caption reads, “Mommy I wish u could come too!”
CBS
Summer looks saddened. Claire says Harrison was excited to go and looked up Paris in a book.
As Claire piles it on, Summer stops her and asks her not to overstep.
She didn’t ask for her advice. Claire knows but presses the issue.
She hasn’t seen anyone so excited about a trip.
CBS
Summer knows they’re cousins but they don’t know each other well because of Jordan. Claire wants to put it behind them.
Summer says some things are still messy.
The only thing not a mess is her relationship with Harrison. Claire says it’s clear how much “your little boy loves you too.”
Summer will leave it to Kyle to tell Harrison they’re not going to Paris.
Claire gets it. Her son, her decision. Summer’s glad she gets it.
CBS
After Abby ends her video call with her mom at Society, she sees Kyle and happily tells him that she and Devon are engaged.
CBS
He rudely tells her, “Good for you.” He’s there to meet with his lawyer about his custody battle.
He’ll introduce them. Abby’s face falls. That won’t be necessary.
Kyle says it will be an engagement present. He can start divorce papers to save her a lot of time and heartache.
Abby’s sorry things aren’t going well between her and Summer.
Kyle knows she doesn’t want to hear it but one day her bliss will crash around her. Abby denies that every marriage does that.
CBS
Kyle talks about one day she’ll be in a battle for Dominic.
Abby’s been there and knows how awful it is but tritely tells him things have a way of working themselves out.
He doesn’t share her optimism. She asks him not to rain on her engagement.
CBS
He gets a shot and drinks it. “I’ll try,” he says.
Victor and Devon walk in and Victor hugs his daughter, happy to hear the news.

CBS
He hopes it’s a match made in heaven.
He goes to see his lawyer, Jason, to ask how they can fix what Summer has done.
He asks if it’s possible Summer bribed the judge.
CBS
Jason knows the judge and says there’s no way he’d take a judge.
Kyle asks how he can get around this. Jason says it could take weeks but Kyle has to go on this trip now.
He barks about Summer being selfish and vindictive and says two can play that game.
CBS
At a table, Devon, Victor and Abby discuss how well Ashley’s doing and Victor calls the waitress over for champagne.
Later, Victor toasts the merging of two families and knows Neil would love this.
