Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day.
Before we dive in, please hit the Subscribe button. We often gripe about The Young and the Restless—about plots that fizzle out, schemes that go nowhere, and characters whose motivations are baffling.
But the soap has us hooked with a new mystery surrounding Claire. We’ve noticed something strange with Victoria and Cole’s daughter for a while now.
Claire’s demeanor is almost too perfect. Even Mother Teresa might feel the need to up her game next to Claire.
Angels might skip the wait and grant her a halo and harp right away, she’s so saintly. However, the June 19 episode threw us for a loop when Claire wore a top straight out of *Little House on the Prairie*. It hit us then—head writer Josh Griffith is definitely up to something.
Original Claire was lively and stylish. This reformed Claire dresses like a plain-clothes nun and seems so innocent we feel she needs to hold an adult’s hand to cross the street. So, what’s happening here? We see two possibilities.
One, Claire’s years of being influenced by her crazy Aunt Jordan may have caused her to snap, leading to dissociative identity disorder like Ashley. The Claire we see now could be an alter ego, modeled after Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm, while the real Claire is trapped in some white brain space. Would Griffith really do another split personality storyline? Considering he took Young and Restless from one psycho plot with Cameron’s reign of terror to Jordan’s, it’s possible.
The other option is that Claire is duping Victoria and everyone else. She might not be as crazy as Jordan, but she certainly likes the idea of a bank account with so many zeros it doesn’t fit on a single page. So, she’s playing nice—super nice—to the point of regularly testing if butter would melt in her mouth, while adopting the wardrobe of someone who’s never seen a fashion magazine.
