In today’s jaw-dropping update from The Young and the Restless, Phyllis Summers has just dropped a major
bombshell that’s set to shake things up in Genoa City.
In a recent scene, Jack Abbott was teaching his grandson, Harrison, about the greatest baseball players. Just as he
was about to reveal his favorite player, Phyllis walked in and announced it was Mickey Mantle. Harrison, excited to see Phyllis, rushed over to hug her, much to Jack’s dismay. As the trio sat together, Phyllis and Jack exchanged smiles while Harrison shared stories about old baseball players. The conversation soon turned to Harrison’s recent illness. Harrison mentioned that he’s feeling better now, and although his mother, CLA, couldn’t be with them because she was with her own mom, Phyllis was pleased that CLA was spending time with her family.
Phyllis then broke the news that the circus was returning to town. Harrison worried about his mom being busy, but Phyllis reassured him that she would rather be with him than anything else. After sending Harrison off to play, Jack scolded Phyllis for what he perceived as meddling in their grandson’s life. Phyllis argued that Harrison had already endured too much trauma and questioned how much more he could handle. She was frustrated with Jack’s apparent detachment from Kyle’s childhood, as she had also been distant from Daniel’s upbringing. Both Jack and Phyllis lamented their inability to convince their children to put aside their differences. Phyllis expressed concern over Kyle’s erratic behavior and his alliance with Andre Charles, fearing he might even take Harrison away from the home he loves. Jack suggested that if Phyllis’s only intention was to blame Kyle, their conversation was over. Phyllis, however, believed Jack knew she was right. Jack dismissed her concerns, implying that Phyllis had too much free time and was overstepping.
Meanwhile, Claire visited Victoria at her workplace and mentioned missing the place. She suggested they grab a meal together, and Nikki joined them, expressing a desire to discuss something important with Claire. At Society, Chancellor Lily discussed with Billy the implications of a new company logo and the potential backlash from the name change. While Billy was confident that the transition would be smooth, Lily was concerned about the optics, especially after Jill’s reaction. Billy insisted they should move forward with their plans regardless of Victor Newman’s influence and tried to convince Lily to sign off on a press release to announce their new venture.
Lily, however, accused Billy of being dishonest and suggested that he had previously made her feel like a problem but was now changing his stance. Billy argued that Lily’s fears of Victor were unfounded and challenged her to prove that her motivation was not to oust him from the company. Lily denied any ulterior motives, but Billy was adamant that she was waiting for the chance to reclaim her power. Their heated exchange left Lily unsatisfied with Billy’s ultimatum and his insistence on running things his way.
Elsewhere, Nikki asked Claire how her job was going, and Claire admitted that while caring for Harrison was rewarding, the rest of her job was far from peaceful due to the escalating custody battle between Kyle and Summer. Claire confided that she was finding it difficult to stay neutral and wasn’t fully content with her current position. Nikki, recalling Claire’s excellent performance in her previous role, extended an offer for Claire to join her in a new opportunity, hinting tha
