Thursday August 15, 2024: Today on Young and Restless, Sally urges Billy to stop bothering her, Daniel
and Heather talk about grounding their daughter, and Cameron keeps taunting Sharon.
Wednesday’s recap: Chance convinces Summer to reach a compromise, Billy questions Alan about his
intentions with Tracy, and Claire makes a major decision.

Adam, Chelsea, and Connor play football in the park.
Adam soon becomes distracted and starts staring off into space.
His parents start to worry if bringing him to the park was a mistake.
Connor snaps out of his daze and admits that being back feels strange. He acknowledges that some things will be weird, but he needs to figure out how to move forward with his life.
They discuss how he played football while he was away and express admiration for how well he’s doing.
Adam is impressed and they will follow his lead on what he needs.
Chelsea impresses them with how far she can throw the ball. Her son admits he doubts that they would be spending time like this together if he wasn’t in treatment.

Adam says they used to play. Their son is glad something good can come from his OCD.
His parents are acting like they like each other again. Connor goes off to get drinks from a stand.
Adam and Chelsea wonder what else their son has sensed between them.

He urges her not to let her guilt get to her. It was a mistake but it comes from their history.
They recall some of that and lines from The Outsiders. He thinks she needs to stay optimistic.

They made a mistake but it doesn’t have to be a catastrophe. They’re finally agreeing on how to raise their son.
Connor returns with root beer and they race for who can drink the fastest.

Billy bumps into sally at Society as he’s getting a burrito. They talk about Connor being back and better.

This seems to be making things better for Chelsea and Adam. Billy admits he still feels like his girlfriend is keeping secrets from him.
Sally is sure he means well but should drop it.
CBS
Billy has made a decision there. He’s backed off on pestering Chelsea. She wants to believe that. His suspicions had been getting into her head.
She and Ava had a few days bonding over Ava and her doubts melted away.
Sally doesn’t have Billy’s “relentless paranoia” aside, maybe, about work stuff.

She suggests that Chelsea could just be keeping something from him out of loyalty and urges him to give himself a break.
He gets the message on less stressing. They talk about work and she reminds him he should be at the office.
He thinks they should go to the park to support their partners.

Back in the park, Connor asks his parents if he had OCD signs when he was a kid. They didn’t notice.

He was a curious baby and likes cartoons.
Connor tells them OCD is forever and it can only be controlled. They know.

Chelsea thinks they should focus on just being happy. Adam tells him to “stay gold” against all the obstacles in life.
Their son admires how they have stayed true to themselves and he feels lucky for that.
After he goes off to recycle their cans, Adam tells Chelsea they did something right. They hold hands.

Adam wonders if their relationship is different now.
“I would much rather Connor pick up on the fact that we’re working as a team than the tension and guilt from that one night,” she says as Sally and Billy arrive.

Daniel runs into Nick at Crimson Lights and asks him to have a coffee.

He asks after Sharon and admits he’s been concerned about her lately. They had a weird exchange.
She hasn’t been returning his calls. He was hoping they could build a positive connection.
That makes sense to Nick who has been worrying about her lately too.

Daniel explains that Cassie has been raw for him lately as well. He just told Lucy all about it.
Nick feels like Sharon is weighed down by the past right now and thinks the video game idea sounds great.
He thinks it would be best for him to keep his distance from her right now. Daniel agrees to do that.
He also apologizes for Lucy’s behavior with Faith. Nick has no idea what he’s talking about.
Daniel explains about Lucy drinking when she went to the concert with Faith. She’s grounded now.

They’re sure that shook up Faith since she lost a kidney thanks to a crash.
Daniel worries his daughter won’t be de-railed from her obsession with growing up fast.
Once Nick leaves Heather arrives and talks about how their daughter is still moping and miserable, but she’s eating again.

He thinks they are being pretty fair in not grounding her for life.
He’s sure that he needs to have a serious conversation with his daughter about how much she’s screwed up.

She thinks their daughter is too mortified for that right now. They need to be careful not to push her to rebel.
He agrees they need to find the right balance. He can’t believe he’s having to relive this mistake through his kid.
Heather thinks they need to be grateful no one got hurt and their daughter came clean.
She thinks this is a chance for him to right a wrong, not blame himself.

At home, Faith is surprised to find her mom working. Sharon explains she needs to delay her retreat because of work.

The ghost of Cameron commends her on lying so well to her daughter. He says she knows she can’t leave because all the answers she’s looking for are there.

Faith notices her mom staring and Sharon insists she’s fine.
CBS
Mariah arrives as their mom complains about how she can’t go away and worry about the company.
She starts making excuses but Mariah points out everything she’s bringing up has already been dealt with.

Faith offers to go on the trip with her.
Sharon loses it and tells him to stop treating her like she’s about to fall apart.

Cameron reminds her that flying off the handle won’t get them to back off.
Sharon apologizes to her daughters and promises to book her travel plans this afternoon.

Nick shows up as Faith gets yet another text from Lucy. She starts venting about how she wants to be her bestfriend.
CBS
She has nothing in common with this kid.
Cameron continues to taunt Sharon as they all talk about the Lucy situation.
CBS
Sharon urges her daughter to be kind but straightforward but Faith worries she has no friends.
Faith just wants to avoid any drama.
Nick asks when Sharon is taking her trip. The girls don’t want Sharon to avoid it.
Nick thinks that if she is feeling out of sorts, she should stay where they can take care of her.
CBS
Cameron starts mocking “Prince Nickolas” riding in on his white horse.
Sharon thanks Nick for the support and the girls for wanting what’s best for her. As they all file out, Mariah asks her mom to let her look after the company for a few days.
Cameron urges Sharon to agree to that because she has things to take care of.
