Since negotiations have failed to bring a deal so far, 11 million DirecTV subscribers have lost access to multiple

Disney-owned networks. That includes ABC, which airs GH daily on weekdays.

The blackout started on Sunday, September 1, so the timing couldn’t be worse considering last Friday’s epic

cliffhanger of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) firing twice at Agent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam J. Harrington).

Unfortunately, there’s still no news of an official deal being reached, so DirecTV subscribers will continue to miss out on all the chaos happening in PC.

DirecTV and Disney have been busy pointing fingers at each other when it comes to who’s responsible for the current feud.

ESPN watchers are irritated as well since it’s also owned by Disney and has gone dark just like ABC.

There are some hot sporting events happening right now, so it’s easy to see why fans want this resolved ASAP.

The same goes for GH viewers since the action has really been heating up ever since Sonny pulled that trigger.

There’s no way to make a firm prediction on when this blackout will end, but a similar one happened that lasted two weeks in 2023.

Disney clashed with Charter Spectrum until an agreement was finally reached, so let’s hope that a DirecTV deal will be struck within the same timeframe.

Disney-owned programming should be restored immediately after things are finalized, so it’s just a matter of getting both sides on board with mutually beneficial terms.

With any luck, Disney and DirecTV can work something out in the coming days – paving the way for ABC to return for DirecTV customers who are eager to watch their favorite soap again.

In the meantime, you can always watch GH on Hulu if you’re one of the many DirecTV users affected by the conflict.
