At Society, Victor informs Nikki that Lily will be continuing with
Chancellor Industries. Although he suspects Devon isn’t thrilled about it,
Victor believes Lily’s presence could be a boon for them. Nikki acknowledges Lily’s contributions to the company but worries about the potential fallout from her association with Billy’s likely downfall. Victor is determined to prevent Lily from being dragged into Billy’s mess.
Billy arrives and orders a drink, his demeanor indicating he’s already on a downward spiral. He confronts Victor, insinuating that Victor is eager to watch Chancellor Industries collapse, only to swoop in and capitalize on it. Victor dismisses Billy’s paranoia but remains firm in his stance that Billy’s management of the company is bound to fail. Billy, not taking kindly to Victor’s jabs, retorts with sarcasm about Victor’s alleged plans to take over. Nikki adds her voice to the conversation, lamenting Billy’s disrespect towards Catherine Chancellor by undermining the legacy of the company.
In a separate scene at Crimson Lights, Lucy bumps into Faith, who is gathering drinks for herself and her mom. Lucy tries to reconnect, hinting at a missed pool party, but Faith dismisses it as just a typical gathering. Faith apologizes for the uninvitation and then awkwardly declines an invitation to see a band with Lucy, citing prior plans. Feeling guilty, Faith suggests they catch up about the band later.
Tessa meets Mariah at the park, expecting a romantic surprise, but Mariah is preoccupied with a more pressing issue: her mother’s health. Mariah shares that they staged a mini-intervention, and her mother agreed to take better care of herself, including a trip for rest. Tessa offers support and suggests visiting Sharon, who has started referring to Tessa as “Mima.” Mariah is hesitant, fearing that seeing Sharon might be too painful, as it brings back memories of Cassie and the life she missed. Tessa urges Mariah to speak with Sharon, but Mariah is reluctant, feeling that every encounter with Sharon is a reminder of Cassie’s absence.
Meanwhile, Sharon is haunted by Cameron’s ghostly presence, who taunts her about his death and her perceived failure to move on. Despite her attempts to dismiss him, Cameron continues to invade her thoughts, manipulating her insecurities. Sharon’s distress escalates as she prepares for a retreat to Sedona, hoping to find peace. Cameron’s presence is a constant reminder of the trauma he inflicted, and he hints at being a permanent fixture in her mind.
At Chancellor Industries, Billy insists on making a grand statement with a launch party for Abbott Chancellor, which he sees as a way to outshine Victor’s plans. Lily, however, worries that Billy’s personal vendetta against Victor might cloud his judgment. She reminds Billy that his earlier claims about Victor not being a threat are no longer valid, as Victor is clearly preparing to make a move against them.
Back at Crimson Lights, Faith decides to join Lucy for the concert after initially turning her down. Daniel, observing their interaction, realizes Faith’s plans might have changed. He expresses concern over Lucy’s tendency to lie and advises her to manage her expectations about her friendship with Faith. Lucy, thrilled to be going to the concert, thanks Daniel for his leniency.
In the Newman family sphere, Victor shares his excitement about the future with Nikki, who inquires about his plans for Adam at Newman Media. Victor remains cryptic but assures Nikki that everything is falling into place. The episode closes with Jack and Diane’s romance heating up, Daniel and Heather’s worries about Lucy, and Phyllis’s frustration with Sharon’s ongoing issues.
