This week, Devon and Abby will enjoy some peaceful moments together in the park. As Devon reflects on his deep love for Abby, he won’t be able to contain his feelings. In a moment of pure emotion, Devon will propose to Abby! Abby will be taken aback, raising her head off his shoulder in shock, wondering if she heard him correctly. But don’t worry, fans, Abby will be smiling, and since they’ve talked about marriage before, it’s very likely she’ll say yes to Devon’s heartfelt proposal. This week, Devon even seeks Victor’s counsel about asking for his daughter’s hand in marriage. We can’t wait to see this couple take the next step in their relationship!

Speaking of couples taking the next step, will Summer stun Chance with a proposal of her own? Summer is eyeing primary custody of Harrison and needs to prove to the courts that she can provide a stable home. She might think that presenting a united front with Chance as loving parents could convince the judge to rule in her favor. Will Chance entertain the idea of tying the knot with Summer after dating for such a short time?
Meanwhile, Tracy takes a big step of her own and makes a leap of faith with Alan. Will it mean true love at last for the writer? Last week, Summer shared her grievances about Audra and Claire with her mother at Society. She’s furious over Kyle’s idea to bring Claire to Paris and hates that Audra is back in the picture. Phyllis was right when she pointed out to her daughter that she needs to chill out. Claire basically told Kyle that she’s uncomfortable going to Paris without Summer’s approval. She’s her cousin and wants to have a genuine relationship with her, but Kyle wasn’t having any of it. Last week, we saw Victoria encourage Claire to step out of her comfort zone. Maybe she will take it as a sign to start thinking of Kyle as more than an employer. We’ll probably see what Claire decides in the episodes this week. If Claire does decide to get involved with Kyle, Victor will take it as an opportunity to drive an even bigger wedge between Kyle and Jack. What better way to stick it to his nemesis than to marry his son into the Newman family?
Meanwhile, at Newman Enterprises, Victor will have a serious meeting with Adam and Nikki. Adam and Nikki will ambush him, pushing him for answers. Last week, Adam agreed to take over Newman Media, but Nikki is totally waiting for things to blow up. Victoria and Nick are worried about the chaos their father is causing and aren’t thrilled about Adam taking over the company. Victor claims he has everything under control, but he is set to unveil some long-term plans this week that will shake things up. In the weekly preview, Victor announces he’s acquiring a company almost as big as Newman Enterprises. Adam is stunned that such a company exists, and even more so when Victor tells Nikki, “It is yours.” Has Victor taken over Jabot somehow? Nikki isn’t impressed and may suspect Victor is using this new company to distract her from her real goal: getting back her CEO seat at Newman Media.
But what’s Victor really up to? Could he be eyeing Abbott Chancellor now that the demerger has left them vulnerable? Remember, Victor recently warned Billy Abbott about his arrogance, suggesting he might have some tricks up his sleeve. Expect Victor to make some daring moves and ruffle a few feathers along the way with his usual knack for corporate strategy. Adam knows better than to cross his father, while Nikki is furious that she’s been sidelined by her husband. She’s on the fence about Victor installing Adam in Newman Media and fears she won’t be able to get the company back from him. But Adam has no idea what his father is setting him up for.
This week, Victoria and Adam have a tense conversation, translating to Victoria interrogating her half-brother. Meanwhile, Nick is worried about Sharon’s state of mind, which could mean we’re in for a devastating twist ahead. Adam has another crisis to deal with: Chelsea. Chelsea may prove to be a basket case as she admits to Adam that she almost spilled the beans to Billy. If you haven’t already forgotten, Chelsea and Adam had a drunken encounter and formed a pact of silence. They both have a lot to lose here, namely their relationships with Billy and Sally.
Last week, Adam and Sally even made up in a cute scene where Sally apologized for upsetting Adam. She reminds him that the last time they were in his office, they broke up. She believes in him and will always have his back. Adam asks for her trust, which Sally will happily provide. But what about Sally’s trust that he’s breaking at this very moment by not coming clean about what happened with Chelsea?
Spoilers for the week tease that as Chelsea fights her demons, Adam considers ripping off the Band-Aid and coming clean with Sally. But what if Adam and Chelsea end up having another slip-up during a hush-hush conversation? They were tempted once; it’s easy to imagine them locking lips in the park again. And what if this time, there’s someone to see all of it? The secret has to get out sooner or later. Perhaps it might be Audra who witnesses the two former lovers in a compromising position. She will waste no time gathering evidence, maybe even capturing a video of the secret make-out session. No doubt Audra will use the clip to her advantage in one way or another.
What do you think of Adam and Chelsea’s slip-up? Was their night of passion justified? Well, the stars behind the characters certainly think so. Both Melissa Clare Egan and Mark Grossman defended their on-screen hookup, with Egan calling it an accident. She explained that it wasn’t intentional, likening it to second-degree sex, not first-degree. Grossman backed her up, saying it wasn’t planned and that alcohol was involved. He added that Adam has a habit of sabotaging himself when things are going too well, as he’s always used to some chaos. Grossman enjoys that part of Adam’s character.
That’s it for this week’s spoilers! What do you think of Devon’s surprise proposal? And what are your predictions for Victor’s latest corporate maneuvers?
