The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that ever since Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) came home, Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) has become her shadow. It’s clear that Lucy looks up to Faith and wants a college-aged friend, but she’s getting on Faith’s last nerve.
Lucy has been following Faith around like a little puppy who’s desperate for her approval.
We’ve seen Lucy try to buy Faith’s friendship with a vintage bracelet and flatter her with praise, but nothing seems to be working.
Of course, Lucy can’t take a hint and seems oblivious to Faith’s annoyance. In Lucy’s mind, Faith is her pal and someone who wants to hang out with her.
Lucy’s pestering may be a pain, but she’s not doing anything horrible.
The only thing Lucy is guilty of is cramping Faith’s style and not picking up on social cues that Faith just isn’t interested in these hang-out sessions.
Faith doesn’t want to hurt Lucy’s feelings, but that’ll be unavoidable when she rescinds a pool party invitation in the July 22 episode.
To be fair, Lucy pushed Faith into initially letting her come, but it’ll still sting when Faith makes excuses to uninvite her.
One of those excuses will involve the booze that’ll most likely be at the party.
Since Lucy will later lie about still being invited to the bash, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will warn her to say no to alcohol.
It definitely feels like Y&R’s leaning into the alcohol angle here, so there’s a good chance Lucy’s going to get drunk and spin out of control.
It’s possible Lucy will crash the party and provoke Faith’s wrath, which could break Lucy’s heart even more.
Then again, maybe Lucy will simply decide to score alcohol somewhere else and drown her sorrows all alone.
Either way, Faith’s rejection could send Lucy down a dangerous path involving underage drinking and perhaps a car accident, too.
If that happens, Faith may end up feeling terribly guilty over how things played out.
Perhaps Faith could blame herself for Lucy’s crash – much like Daniel still blames himself for Cassie Newman’s (Camryn Grimes) crash all those years ago.
Our Y&R predictions hint that some sort of accident is indeed looming on the CBS soap, so we’ll pass along updates as more news comes in on the catastrophe.
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Lucy might land in the hospital by the end of all this, so stay tuned.
