The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 4,
reveals that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will bring a bottle of bourbon
to Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) suite, so they’ll drink as
they talk about not hearing from Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) facility all day.
Chelsea and Adam will end up laughing over some memories of Connor’s first Thanksgiving. That’ll lead to Chelsea crying as she worries about Connor potentially not getting to come home this year.
Chelsea will eventually make her way to the bed, so Adam will sit next to her and give her a pep talk. As Adam holds Chelsea, she’ll lean up to kiss him and let passion erupt.
Adam and Chelsea will ultimately strip down and hit the sheets, but they’ll look bewildered in the aftermath – like they can’t believe what they just did.
Back in Genoa City, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will discuss Connor’s tough situation before distracting each other with some work talk.
The conversation will shift back to Connor and his parents, so Sally will suggest Billy should get the Jabot jet so they can go surprise Adam and Chelsea.
Billy will acknowledge that’s a nice idea, but he’ll point out that Chelsea advised him not to come and will think she really wants to spend this time focusing on Connor with Adam.
In the end, Sally will express her gratitude to Billy since it was good to lean on each other.
Although Sally will think Chelsea is lucky to have Billy, he’ll think Adam is even luckier to have Sally.
At Newman Enterprises, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will warn Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to stay away from Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Victor will act like it’s not his fault that Jack’s having issues with his son and will threaten to throw Jack off the premises.
Jack and Victor will rehash that night in Nikki Newman’s suite (Melody Thomas Scott) since it kicked off Victor’s latest vendetta.
However, Jack will reiterate that Victor’s beef should be with him alone. If Victor tries to drag Jack’s family into this, Jack will warn that there’ll be “hell to pay.”
On his way out, Jack will run into Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and give him updates on Victor playing games with Kyle. Nick will bring up Jack’s anger to Victor, who’ll insist he isn’t concerned.
At the Abbott mansion, Diane will beg Kyle not to cause more upheaval for Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), but Kyle will stick to his plan of moving out with him.
Diane will wonder why Kyle’s being so nasty, but he’ll act like this is all her fault and will hint that taking a sinister turn doesn’t sound so bad.
When Jack arrives, Kyle will assume his dad came from visiting Victor, so he’ll continue to offer clues that he might be working for “The Moustache.”
Jack will push for peace and act like he just wants what’s best for the family, so Kyle will push him to prove it by firing Diane or at least demoting her. Kyle will think it’s time for Jack to finally give him the position he deserves.
When Jack hesitates, Diane will ask if he’s seriously considering going along with Kyle’s wishes. Jack will ultimately refuse to reward Kyle’s bad behavior and let his son manipulate him like this.
Kyle will act like it’s done then and will eventually walk out. That’ll leave Diane alone with Jack, so she’ll wonder about the reason for his hesitation.
Jack will insist that he was just taken aback over Kyle’s outrageous request and will assure Diane that he doesn’t resent her for firing Kyle without his approval.
Although Jack will still wish they’d talked about it beforehand, he’ll agree it was the only option.
Jack will suggest that maybe there’s some way for Diane to fix this on a personal level – mother to son.
Diane won’t really see how when Kyle won’t have a normal conversation with her, but she’ll ultimately decide she indeed has to fix it and can’t lose her son again.
At Society on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Nick and Victor will talk about all the latest Newman shakeups over tequila.
Victor and Nick will also discuss Adam’s ordeal with Connor, so Victor will think a sense of purpose at Newman Media might help Adam cope.
When Kyle arrives, he’ll greet Nick and Victor at their table.
Kyle will allude to getting another lesson about family being more trouble than they’re worth and will step over to the bar.
Once Nick is gone, Victor will call Kyle over and question why he told Jack about their collusion against him.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will keep playing some dangerous games, so stick with us for predictions on the shocking news that’ll result.
