The Young and the Restless leaves Kyle at a major crossroads in his life!

We can’t help but wonder if the character will really turn his back on his family to work for a competing company.

When things fall apart with the Abbotts, Kyle turns to Victor.

But little does he know that he’s just a pawn in The Moustache’s latest scheme. “I think he’s going to play dirty,” Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott) guessed about his character’s plans. Michael Mealor on Kyle’s Career Shake-Up

The idea of becoming co-CEO of Glissade seems more tempting for Kyle. All thanks to the way he’s been treated by Jack and Diane at Jabot. The Young and the Restless star explains, “It’s also a cosmetics company, so it’s something that he feels comfortable with and can succeed in.” Moreover, Michael thinks it’s a golden opportunity for Kyle to really make a name for himself outside of Jabot. “I think the cosmetics industry will always know Kyle as an Abbott.”

He mentioned that it’s not known that Victor is an investor but Glissade is a fully-funded company. Kyle gets to build it from scratch in a way he sees fit. Mealor continued, “This can show his drive, his ability, his creativity, all away from the legacy of Jabot.”

And that’s exactly what ignites Kyle’s passion and draws him to the project. Mind you, if he accepts the job as co-CEO of Glissade, he will work closely with the other co-CEO. Interestingly, she happens to be his ex-lover, Audra!

We highly doubt there will be any mixing of business and pleasure this time around! The Y&R star admitted, “This could be a powder keg ready to go off.” Let’s look back at Audra and Kyle’s brief romance.

It all began when Kyle’s marriage to Summer fell apart, he started an affair with Audra. However, the affair lasted so long that when Summer caught wind, Kyle showed no remorse. Then, Kyle’s boss and grandmother-in-law, Nikki Newman, discovered the affair.

Consequently, Nikki gave him an ultimatum: end it or find a new job. The character pretended to break things off but continued seeing Audra. Eventually, Audra and Tucker McCall approached him to help take over Jabot.

Initially agreeing due to his firing, Kyle changed his mind and double-crossed them by informing his family. Ultimately, Kyle and Audra’s relationship ended, and now they started avoiding each other.
