1000-lb Sisters season 4 has been dramatically different compared to seasons past because of all the progress they have made. Their success is measured beyond their physical successes, although their weight loss journeys have played a major role. Amy and Tammy Slaton have been through a lot together this season, whether it was good or bad.
5. Little Bit’s Memorial Service On 1000-Lb Sisters
Amy Slaton loved her canine companion, Little Bit, and even referred to her as her daughter. Even though she had a long life, Amy was devastated when she lost her best friend unexpectedly. On 1000-lb Sisters season 4, Amy and her now ex-husband, Michael Halterman, decided to hold a memorial service so they could say goodbye to Little Bit. Although a funeral service for a dog is considered unconventional, Amy and Michael felt it was the only appropriate thing to do to celebrate Little Bit’s life and all the love they had for her.
The 1000-lb Sisters star invited her family to the funeral and took it very seriously, requesting that everyone else show the same manner of respect. Amy and Michael both allowed her family to speak about Little Bit and share their memories about her. Even though the Slaton siblings didn’t know what to think about Amy’s tribute to Little Bit, they attended and showed their support and were there for Amy as she struggled with the loss of her furry friend.
4. Chris Combs’ Weight Loss Journey On 1000-Lb Sisters
Chris Combs’ weight loss journey has been nothing short of inspirational on 1000-lb Sisters. His level of commitment and dedication throughout the seasons hasn’t wavered as he continues to make incredible strides and crush his milestones. He has lost over 140 lbs and doesn’t have any plans to give up his healthier lifestyle anytime soon. Chris sees how his life has changed since losing weight, and it is only going to continue to get better. Since Chris has lost such a significant amount of weight, he is now dealing with excess skin that’s impacting his daily life.
When he spoke with his doctor during 1000-lb Sisters season 4 to discuss getting skin removal surgery, he was advised that he would need to lose 50 more pounds before they could move forward with the surgery. Chris explained how the extra skin has made it difficult to buy clothes that fit, work out, and even get a good night’s sleep and the uncomfortable pain it causes. Even though the news of having to wait for the surgery was disappointing, it’s only fueling Chris more to keep going and do whatever it takes to lose the weight and get approved.

Amy was excited to announce her second pregnancy on 1000-lb Sisters, brimming with anticipation and wondering what she was going to have. While she hoped to be able to add a little girl to the mix, in the end, all that mattered to her was that she had a healthy and happy baby. During the new season, Amy and Michael visited her doctor to find out the gender of their baby. When the ultrasound revealed a boy, Amy was disappointed to have another son, initially, but realized it didn’t matter.
The 1000-lb Sisters star’s weight posed a big risk to her pregnancy and herself. Her doctor advised she needed to take her diet and exercise regimen seriously to ensure a healthy and safe pregnancy. Although Amy did have a few scary incidents regarding her pregnancy, it was a relief when she gave birth to her son, Glenn Allen Halterman, on July 8, 2022. It has been an adjustment to become a mother of two, but now her heart is so full that she couldn’t imagine her life without her second beautiful baby boy.

Tammy has had quite a journey when it comes to her weight loss on 1000-lb Sisters. It has taken her considerably longer to make the changes necessary to lose weight and get her health back on track, but that doesn’t make her success any less inspiring or motivational. The 1000-lb Sisters star has struggled throughout the seasons to stick to a diet and exercise regimen despite her good intentions. However, after almost losing her life, it gave Tammy the perspective she needed to realize that time was not on her side and she had to change because her life depended on it.
Tammy took everyone by surprise on 1000-lb Sisters season 4, when she not only started losing weight but when finally was approved for bariatric surgery. It was something she had wanted for so long, but it always seemed to be just out of her reach. It was an overwhelming and exciting moment, followed by a rush of relief when she realized she had accomplished her goal after everything she had been through. Tammy’s triumphant and transformative accomplishment left her entire family proud of her and happy that her future was a lot brighter.

Tammy’s wedding was another moment during 1000-lb Sisters season 4 that no one could have ever predicted. Although Tammy has wanted nothing more than to find a loving and supportive relationship, she, unfortunately, found herself involved in toxic and unhealthy relationships. She would often put her love life ahead of her health, causing her weight to continue to spiral out of control and putting her life in jeopardy all the more. Her family was shocked when she announced that she was in a relationship and that she was getting married.
Tammy met fellow rehab patient Caleb Willingham at Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center, the same facility where she was staying. The two hit it off almost instantly, with Caleb proposing to her in a matter of weeks. Although her family was suspicious of his intentions, they supported Tammy and helped plan her wedding. The 1000-lb Sisters star was in disbelief that her big day finally came, and she was making her way down the aisle. Tammy and Caleb got married on November 20, 2022. Tammy’s life is heading in a positive direction, and getting married was just the icing on the cake of all of her success.
