At the Athletic Club, Victoria agrees to a dinner date with Cole, who is eager to pick her up at 7.

Alone at the bar, Cole recalls his recent meetings with Victor, where Victor asked him to befriend Kyle.

Meanwhile, at the Abbott mansion, Kyle, Claire, and Harrison are working on a riddle.

Harrison suggests they celebrate with ice cream, and they head to Chancellor Park where they run into Cole.

Cole meets Harrison and asks if Claire has been a good nanny. After a brief chat, Cole invites Kyle for a beer, but he has to prepare for his dinner with Victoria.

Claire is thrilled about her parents’ date and hints at an ulterior motive. Kyle asks her to drop it, suspecting Cole is ensuring he treats Claire well at work.

At Adam’s place, Sally expresses her desire to be someone Adam can confide in. They kiss, and there’s a knock on the door. Adam hesitates, fearing trouble, but Sally insists she’s expecting someone. Summer arrives, and Adam praises Sally’s work. Summer inquires about Connor, and Adam admits he doesn’t know how he’s doing. Summer praises Sally’s designs, and Sally asks if an old colleague, who didn’t get along with Summer, could be rehired. Summer agrees to consider it, provided Sally manages her properly.

At the Newman Ranch, Nikki questions Victor about removing her from Newman Media. She suspects it’s punishment for choosing Jack as her AA sponsor. Victor admits he’s upset with Jack. Nikki storms out, and Victor assures Nick that Nikki will eventually agree to his plan. He wants Nick to convince Victoria to return as CEO and considers Adam for Newman Media’s top spot. Nick doubts Victor’s motives but agrees to try.

Victoria confides in Nikki that she misses the office but feels it’s not the right time to return. Both women agree that Victor’s decision to involve Adam could spell disaster. They discuss Victor’s various agendas and agree his anger towards Nikki is a factor. Nick arrives, and they debate Victor’s true intentions. Nick believes Victor thinks he’s helping Nikki, but Victoria suspects otherwise. Nikki fears Adam taking her job permanently.

Back at the Abbott mansion, Summer arrives to take Harrison to the park. Harrison, thrilled with Claire, hugs her before heading upstairs. Kyle reassures Summer about Harrison’s happiness despite Claire’s closeness.

At Society, Victor confronts Adam about returning to Newman Media, which Adam views as a demotion. Victor insists it’s for the family’s benefit, but Adam feels used as a pawn. Victor demands secrecy before revealing he needs someone as ruthless as himself to take down an enemy.
