The Young and the Restless spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 9, reveals that Chelsea Lawson will reunite with Billy Abbott following her trip to Baltimore.

This reunion will trigger flashbacks of her tumultuous night with Adam Newman. Billy will take Chelsea out to breakfast at the GCAC, but Chelsea will soon prefer to go home and rest. Billy suggests picking up groceries to get Chelsea settled in, and she admits she doesn’t deserve him. Billy reassures her that he’s sticking around for good.

Meanwhile, Adam returns home to Sally Spectra and embraces her, haunted by memories of his night with Chelsea. Sally becomes suspicious as Adam grows quiet at the mention of Chelsea, but he brushes it off, claiming he has a lot on his mind. Although Sally worries she’s causing tension by pushing Adam and Chelsea to reconcile, Adam insists everything is fine. Sally takes time off work to support Adam, who appreciates her patience. She expresses confidence that they can overcome anything together.

In the meantime, Victor Newman meets with Kyle Abbott and Audra Charles. Kyle confesses to telling Jack Abbott about his clandestine job, assuming Diane Jenkins knows as well. Audra and Kyle discuss dividing CEO responsibilities, with Audra handling operations in Paris while Kyle prepares for their relocation to Genoa City. Victor is concerned about their split duties, wanting them to work as a team. He warns Audra to watch her back around Kyle.

At Society, Claire Grace has breakfast with Nikki and Victoria Newman. She reveals that Victor advised against her relationship with Kyle, suspecting it’s due to Victor’s feud with Jack. Nikki and Victoria encourage Claire to make her own decisions. When news breaks about Kyle taking over the company with Audra, Nikki and Victoria realize Kyle informed Claire ahead of the press release. Kyle later discusses Victor’s warning with Claire, feeling confused and hurt. Audra arrives, irritated that Kyle is wasting time talking to Claire instead of focusing on their new responsibilities.

Victoria and Nikki talk about Claire’s Newman status and suggest a name change. When Claire returns to the table, Victoria surprises her by asking how she feels about changing her last name to Newman.

On Tuesday’s episode, Jack and Diane discover that Victor is the anonymous investor who hired Kyle to work with Audra. Diane laments that Victor’s latest fury is just another attack on Jack. Frustrated, Jack decides to confront Victor again, leaving Diane alone. Kyle arrives with news about the company’s new direction, leading to another fierce clash at Newman Enterprises. Jack accuses Victor of being the secret investor, but Victor denies it, resulting in a heated argument.
